TOP 10 HUNDREADS FOR SACHIN IN TESTS

Time doesn't wait for someone, it do whatever it wants. Now time has come to farewell the indian cricket icon Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. He is playing his 200th and last Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from 14-18th against WestIndies. We may not digest the truth that we will see cricket without sachin from now onwards. He may retire from the cricket ground, but not from fans hearts, he is living there till the end.
we may not know, he may hit century in the last match or not, but we wish him do the double or triple.we pay a tribute to his glorious career by looking back at his top ten Test centuries.

1) 241* vs Australia in Sydney, January 2-6 2004

In this series, he is not performed upto the mark. He has a due of big score in the series. This was also last test of Steve Waugh (Australian Captain). He pays his due here with a bang. He done a double century and add 353 runs along with VVS Laxman(178) for fourth wicket and india is declared innings at 705/7. This test becomes a mere draw, but it is very special to Sachin, because he has done this knock at the time critics are writing about his retirement, and also this was his highest First Class cricket score, and also reaches 9000 test runs with this innings.

2) 136 vs Pakistan in Chennai, January 28-31 1999

This century has come at high profile India Vs Pakistan series in 1999. It was the first test between India and Pakistan, where Pakistan set  a target of 271. In replay, india lost 5 wickets for 82 runs but sachin reamins in crease. But fans doesn't have any hopes because the record of sachin is not that great in 4th innings in test cricket. But he go against all odds that day, and try to save the match although back pain tests him more than the bowlers in Pakistan. But this was not a happy ending for india as india losts with 12 runs.

3) 119 vs England in Old Trafford, August 9-14 1990

This is maiden century for this little master. Nobody expect at that time, he has done century of centuries in international cricket. This is not only his first century, it also saves India in that test. India were chasing an improbable 408 to draw level in the series, but while a win was out of the question, India found themselves in a big hole at 183 for 6. At that time Sachin comeing as number 6 and play this beautiful knock. He able save this match with the help of manoj prabhakar(68). It should be in memories of sachin, because first one is always has a special mention right?

4) 146 vs South Africa in Cape Town, January 2-6 2011

This was his last century till now. It comes on South Africa in Cape Town in 2011. In this match South Africa done 362 in first innings. India needs to comeout their batsmen well to save the match, where sachin do exactly that. Tendulkar was beaten innumerable times by Steyn's outswingers and Lonwabo Tsotsobe's extra bounce outside off stump, and cut in half repeatedly by Morne Morkel's jagging in-cutters. But Tendulkar survived, and attacked when he could. His 176-run stand with Gambhir saved india.

5) 103 vs England in Chennai, December 11-15 2008

Tendulkar has to his name every batting record worth having, except one perhaps: a fourth-innings century in an Indian win.He done that with this century. He is there until the end and cross the winning line for India. India need to chase down 387 on a distortion pitch at 4th innings. This is the pitch where we have heartbreak against Pakistan in 1999. But this time Sachin completed the task by remaining the crease till the end. He finishes off the chase with a boundary that completes his century. This was not only special about the cricketing conditions,  but it comes after few weeks the terrorist attacks made at mumbai. This will make Sachin and India smile.

6)155 vs Australia in Chennai, March 6-10 1998

The series was being billed as a battle between two legends – Shane Warne and Tendulkar.Shane Warne wons first round by taking tendulkar's wicket at first innings. And also australia had a lead of 71 runs in first innings, but the sachin's destructive knock change the momentum of the test and india sealed the victory in this test. He attacked every bowler in opposition, in particular Warne. He slog sweeping against the warne's spin time and again. It was a high risk shot, but not once did Tendulkar mistime the shot, when he attempted the same. The most amazing aspect of the stroke was that Warne pitched the ball into the rough, and Tendulkar still managed to smash the leggie into the ropes. He changed the game momentum with 191-ball masterclass, which included four sixes, 14 fours. Such was the impact of the knock on that hot day at Chennai that Warne could never dominate Tendulkar again.

7) 193 vs England at Headingley in Leeds in 2002

This was comes in third test of England tour. In a must-win situation for India to retain in series. At this time Tendulkar came up with a splendid knock. And, unlike in the past, he got great support from the rest of the batting order. Tendulkar looked in no trouble at all during his mammoth 193, which lasted 434 minutes and 330 balls. The innings featured 19 fours and three sixes, and frustrated the England bowlers no end, be it Caddick, Hoggard or Flintoff or even the spin of Giles. This innings help india to win the test.

8) 111 vs South Africa in 1992 in  Johannesburg

This was fourth century in his career. This was a patient knock from master blaster in early days. His innings lasts 373 minutes and played 270 balls to rescue the India. He battled as one man army and kept in total of 227 which was helped India to drawn the test. When on 33, Tendulkar became the youngest at 19 years & 217 days to reach 1000 runs in Test cricket.

9) 114 vs Australia in 1992 in Perth

Perth hundred is considered among his best ever in international cricket owing to the conditions under which it was scored as well as the quality of the opposition. Perth is rated among the bounciest wicket in the world, and for Tendulkar to come up with a ton on his first visit to the venue, and that too against the likes of Hughes, Reiffel, McDermott and Whitney was fantastic in every sense, especially since he was a boy among men. Replying to Australia’s challenging first-innings total of 346, Tendulkar single-handedly ensured India ended with a somewhat respectable total. But it couldn't prevent India lost to series 4-0 to Australia.

10) 169 at Cape Town, January 1997

This was still the era of the one-man show in Indian cricket, particularly when India travelled abroad, and this match was another classic example of the same. South Africa batted first in this match, and ran up an impressive 529 for 7. In reply India, stumbled in almost expected fashion to 58 for 5. Tendulkar and his skipper Azhar decided to counter-attack and, for the next couple of hours, the South African bowlers had not answer to the blazing Indian duo. Azhar runout after made 115( in 110 balls), but tendulkar carry on until the end. Unfortunately for Tendulkar, it was another innings that went in vain as India went on to lose the match.
